CARE & FIRST WEAR GUIDE

Each pair is handcrafted from natural materials by skilled artisans, making every shoe beautifully unique.

Just as nature takes time to create something extraordinary, your Bulibasha shoes will gently adapt to your feet with every wear.

During the first few wears, the natural fibres and handcrafted weaving will gradually soften and mold to the unique shape of your feet, becoming increasingly comfortable over time.

This is the beauty of genuine craftsmanship and natural materials — your shoes become truly yours.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST STEPS

  • Wear them in gradually. For the first few wears, wear your Bulibasha for shorter periods to allow the natural fibres to gently adapt to your feet.
  • Sensitive skin? The handwoven upper may feel slightly firm at first. This is a natural characteristic of tightly woven fibres, not a flaw. With wear, the fibres will soften and become increasingly comfortable.
  • Speed up the softening. Wear your shoes with socks for a little while during the first few wears to help the fibres relax.
  • Massage the weaving. Gently massage the woven upper with your hands before wearing to help relax the natural fibres.
  • If they feel a little snug. Lightly mist the woven upper with clean water using a spray bottle, then put the shoes on immediately. As they dry, the fibres will naturally shape themselves to your feet. The weaving may temporarily feel firmer while drying — this is completely normal.

MADE FOR BEACH DAYS

  • Occasional contact with water is perfectly fine, as your Bulibasha shoes are made from natural materials inspired by island living.
  • Avoid prolonged soaking or excessive moisture.
  • If your shoes become wet, allow them to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
  • Avoid direct heat when drying.

LEATHER THAT AGES BEAUTIFULLY

  • The natural leather sole will gradually deepen into a richer, earthy brown tone with wear.
  • This natural patina reflects your journeys and makes every pair uniquely yours.
  • Avoid oils, waxes, polishes or cleaning products, as these may interfere with the leather's natural patina.
  • When needed, gently remove dirt using a soft cloth lightly dampened with clean water.
  • Allow the sole to dry naturally.

THE CHARACTER OF NATURE

Every pair is made from natural materials and shaped by hand, so subtle variations in colour, texture and finish are part of its character.

  • Natural variations are not imperfections.
  • Each variation reflects the materials, the hands that shaped them and the unique process behind the craft.
  • With time and wear, your Bulibasha will develop its own character.

With a little care, your Bulibasha will accompany you for many seasons to come.
